Test Fail. About Time too...

Oops! the test I mentioned in here is completed, and I failed. Not too badly though. It's not that I don't appreciate it. I can't. It's on the abstract side, and I was never good with literature. I'll just stick to my current genre and appreciate whatever Japan can give.

Speaking of which, I'm going at around 3/4 steam in planning for the ORD Japan trip 2012. You know, I can almost just feel us being there, and the awesomeness of it all. I love to imagine what it would be like and plan towards it. It's so exciting, so far, but not that far.

Time has been going at irregular paces for me since last year. I recall from experience that the more different and unique activities you do, the slower time passes. This is due to the number of memories that you record. A single activity over a long period records less than many different activities over a short period. Since last year, there have been many different things that I've done, boring or interesting... It's felt like definitely more than one year, but yet the last few months (after being posted to my current location) have passed rather fast. I'm getting a little bored of this place. I tend to like moving around. So far, I've never stayed in a single position for more than 8 weeks at a time (except coming here of course) and I realised I'm lacking a little stamina when it comes to following a routine. I really hope I'll be able to last till my ORD.

Playing with time generates a number of surprises. First, if I squeeze more unique activities into my typical day, I feel more fulfilled (as I've seemingly done more) and make time pass slower (which doubles the fulfillment). I've within the last years of my secondary education began to value time increasingly. I guess it's because of the increasing potential number of things that I want to do given that I've acquired better skills and knowledge. In fact, because of this, my current position is kinda good because I'm serving my mandatory requirement much like other citizens of this country (thereby putting me neither at an advantage or disadvantage), but I'll be using as much spare time as I can (which is a sizable amount) during this entire NS period to go through some of my to-do list items. E.g. learning to drive, learning japanese, and etc. This increases my actual productivity (since I consider NS as almost entirely unproductive in terms of personal gain), and thus places me at an advantage. NS is kind of the perfect excuse.
