Long Time no Post

If you noticed me going inactive like I have once again fell into, I suppose you could be assured that alot is happening. Alot that is probably not that worth to write much about, but is nevertheless time consuming.

I've migrated to a new server courtesy of my friend =D And gotten my own proper domain. It also happens that my old host seems to have a current problem, and I can only say I'm glad that I have shifted. I'll probably leave the old site with a permanent redirect 401 to this site, since after all, it's free. And who knows how long people keep their old bookmarks for?

You may not notice any changes on the appearance of the site, but I've been changing it's scripting a bit. As stated in the tagboard, I've included a short algorithm for preventing spam, and that is the same for the guestbook as well. Also, it was rather a hassle to move to the new server under a full domain since some of my code had full and specific links (which is bad scripting on my part). I'll be changing that though...

Besides the site, I've also been upgrading technology in my house. With more media players (hardware) hitting the market, I've gotten one for my living room that allows streaming besides Plug-and-Play on external data storage devices. Pretty good I'd say. Supports quite a large number of formats.
I've also gotten a 4-bay NAS which is a UPnP server, and does Bittorrent too. It's currently running RAID5 for me with effective storage of 6TB. It's for my all my movies and anime. They've completely filled my com's HDD and my external 500GB HDD, so now I'm dumping it there... with some redundency.

This brings me to the next point. Anime. Besides Pokmon, which I've mentioned some time ago, I also watched Lucky Star, and The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi. I'm rather late to be catching on to this bandwagon, but honestly, I didn't jump on it earlier because my parents seem to implicitly (whether verbally of emotionally) discourage watching them. I don't know why that is so... But now, I don't really care. They can't do anything about it anyway. And shouldn't.
I should also mention that I just splurged ~$180 to buy the entire series (as until the next issue publishes) of Pokmon Adventures (books 1-34) on Friday. It's an awesome manga and if you're a Pokmon fan, I strongly encourage you to read it. Even the original creator says that too.

Oh, and, I'm really starting to get used to my workplace. Now, I know where to push, where to pull, and how to fit in. Not to mention I got promoted as per scheduled, which means more pay to spend on anime and manga! Not like I'm gonna spend much though. I'm saving for an ORD Japan trip in 2012, which is... no not to do with anime, but rather photography. I wanna capture the snow festival, in both my memories and in bytes. Not to mention snow is awesome and even more so in Hokkaido, Japan.
