Japan Trip

And for all it's epic-ness of a big group of us AC guys going to Japan to celebrate our 21st year of life (as well as ORD-ing), I'm probably gonna miss it, or rather, we're all gonna miss it.

Dynamicity. I guess we probably have too much of it. Practically, everyone has different interests. It's hard to get all together for that one epic shot of all of us with like, Mt. Fuji in the background or something... I wish, you know, like everyone could go together for this really long 1 month trip that we can cover all of each other's interests, while still maintaining group integrity. Unfortunately, to sustain such an "operation" as we fondly call it, would require too much resources...

Planning for this is hard work, but I must say it's very fun. To coordinate, to be the person who moves things along, to gather information, opinions, and then plotting out an itinerary (I even printed out the entire map of Japan to plot our areas of interests so that the most efficient route can be traced) is kinda like solving a puzzle. One which: 1. You don't know what the solution will remotely be like 2. One with many or maybe even no solutions 3. The solution has to meet many, many criterion. 4. The solution is only an estimate, since it's still a little too early at the moment (tour agencies don't have the prices dammit!). Then there's the cost-benefit analysis. Something which varies from person to person as well. "complicated" seems like a word too simple for the complexity of this problem. But like I said, it's fun. It's like looking at a spaceship and asking "now, which screw(s) need to be tightened?"

And with all that effort, comes hope, inevitably. This trip should turn out well, at least, for my group, if not all of us. And I hope it'll be one that we'd probably never forget.
